The Equipment Keeps Getting Newer. The Approach Hasn’t Changed Much.

A look inside a few recently upgraded JetSplash car wash locations—and the people who keep Lincoln shining.

If you’ve driven through a JetSplash Car Wash in Lincoln lately, you may have noticed a few things changing. New equipment. Updated technology. Fresh signage. Improvements inside and outside the wash. Even a whole new location off 27th and Vine.

We recently spent some time at our 27th & Superior, 56th & Pine Lake and 84th & Holdrege locations—three JetSplash locations that have received recent upgrades—to photograph some of what’s new.

And while there was plenty of new equipment worth pointing the camera at, some of our favorite photos ended up capturing something that hasn’t changed much at all.

The people. The process. And the hands-on approach that has been part of JetSplash since the beginning.

New Equipment. Same Hands-On Car Wash.

Car wash technology has come a long way since JetSplash opened its first Lincoln location in 2003. And we intend to keep up with it.

We continually reinvest in our Lincoln car wash locations with new equipment and technology designed to improve wash quality, consistency and the overall customer experience.

Recent improvements at 84th & Holdrege and 56th & Pine Lake are part of that ongoing effort. From equipment inside the tunnel to improvements around the property, we’re always looking for ways to make a trip through JetSplash a little better.

But there’s one thing we’re not trying to automate away: our people.

Every vehicle still gets a hands-on prep before entering the wash. Our team power washes the vehicle and gives problem areas some extra attention before the equipment takes over.

Then, on the other side, actual human beings are waiting with towels to hand-dry your vehicle before you head back onto the streets of Lincoln.

Prep. Wash. Dry. Fly.

The technology in the middle keeps getting newer. The hands on both ends aren’t going anywhere.

A Local Lincoln Car Wash Means Local People

Spend an afternoon at JetSplash and you’ll see a lot of Lincoln roll through. The contractor whose truck looks like it actually went to work today. The parent cleaning up whatever happened in the back seat. The commuter squeezing in a wash on the way home. The college student whose car hasn’t been washed since... well, let’s not worry about that.

But look on the other side of the glass and you’ll find plenty of Lincoln there, too. JetSplash employs people from throughout the community, including high school and college students working around classes, activities and everything else they have going on.

For some, JetSplash is their first job. For others, it’s a way to earn money while going to school. And for some, a part-time position grows into leadership opportunities and more responsibility within the company. That’s something we’re proud to be part of. Because being a locally owned car wash in Lincoln, Nebraska isn’t only about where our locations sit on a map. It’s about the people who work there, the customers who visit them and the community surrounding each one.

Nine Lincoln Locations—and Plenty to Keep Improving

JetSplash started with one Lincoln car wash near 9th & Pioneers in 2003. Today, you’ll find nine JetSplash locations across Lincoln.

That growth has made JetSplash more convenient for customers, but it has also given us nine properties to take care of, nine teams to support and nine opportunities to keep improving. That’s why we’re continually evaluating our washes and investing back into them. Sometimes that’s a major equipment upgrade. Sometimes it’s new technology. Sometimes it’s better signage or an improvement most customers may never consciously notice. And that’s okay.

You don’t need to know exactly what’s happening behind the scenes. You should just notice that your car looks really good when you leave.

Take care of the car. Take care of the customer. Keep getting better. That’s what the recent upgrades at 56th & Pine Lake and 84th & Holdrege are about. And it’s what we’ll keep working toward across all nine JetSplash locations.
